This is the last Tapa Rope variation I have planned for now. Since the Logic Showcase prompt specified that the clues could be either paths or loops, naturally I had to see what happens with each submission when generalising from one to the other. It’s a little odd how the placement of a rope’s clue is now a bit arbitrary, but we do get a lot of neat new logic.
Rules: Shade some cells so that all shaded cells form one orthogonally connected area. Clues cannot be shaded, and represent the lengths of the blocks of consecutive shaded cells along the length of rope attached to the clue, not necessarily in order. No 2x2 region may be entirely shaded.
Variant: Lasso — Some ropes are closed loops. Dashed lines indicate which clue they belong to (the dashed line is not part of the rope itself).
Crossing — Ropes can intersect each other and themselves but do not turn at the intersection.
